Michel Sardon & le Banga looping band is one of the side project of Michel Sardon. As he haven't found yet a stable band, Banga remains a looping band. A couple years ago, banga started its music with anti-folk tune inspired by Low barlow. Then the music grow up and is now more rock oriented. Some other influences showed up, especially inspired by french song and ragga roots. So Banga music is now a sort of melting pot.. The lyrics are also more and more written in french, giving more precision to the social poetry of this young sardon.
Below, you'll find all of Michel Sardon's contributions to the Dadaprod's discs, which you can also find in the dedicated section of the web site ou or directly by clicking on the following link : les champs de la résistance (liberterre), descendons dans la rue.

On the occasion of the eviction of squatters from the Place des Vosges in Paris, Michel Sardon created this parody of a well-known 80s band.

Fuck the 4x4
The 13 january 2006, the Paris-Dakar _ french 4wd race in the african desert _ made its nine spectator's victim. This race is furthermore an ecological disaster and is the base of the propaganda of the 4Wd constructors. This is a reason why we can find so many 4WD on the streets of our city center. This on of the reason that made Michel Sardon & le Banga looping band compose this new track “fuck the 4x4”. This video clip is based on different images collected during demonstration or tv broadcast...

Cd: descendons dans la rue

It was in the heart of his native Normandy, still in his teens, that the young Michel Sardon was moved by the existence of a hitherto unknown music. It was while reading an issue of Best covering the umpteenth comeback of Pink Floyd that the young Sardon discovered the existence of the Pixies. The local media library soon became the scene of encounters with vinyl records. It was only a few years later that Michel decided to defy the family consensus that music was a domain reserved for others. And so he launched into his first chords. The strumming of strings quickly became creative, exorcising the unfathomable evil that had gnawed at him since his earliest childhood. Accompanied by a handful of friends, his compositions followed on from his stays in Normandy and England, ending up in Paris, where Michel launched into M.A.O and D.I.Y!
In 2001, Michel launched Dadaprod, seeking to create a new non-commercial space where music could be exchanged over the Internet or via CD-Rs. In total opposition to the behemoths of the record industry, dadaprod castigates the gravediggers of creation, calling for free music where artists would no longer be bank accounts belonging to the jet-set or elected by TV shows.
